Federico Marchetti Steps Down as YNAP CEO, Geoffroy Lefebvre to Take Over

Federico Marchetti, the founder of Yoox and CEO of Yoox Net-A-Porter (YNAP), has announced that he will be stepping down from his role as CEO and transitioning to the position of Chairman. This move allows him to continue to have a presence within the company while passing on the reins to his successor, Geoffroy Lefebvre. Lefebvre, currently the Group Digital Distribution Director at Richemont, will officially take on the role of CEO on January 4.

Under Marchetti’s leadership, YNAP has become a major player in the luxury e-commerce industry, with a strong reputation for innovation and customer service. Richemont’s chief, Johann Rupert, commended Marchetti for his vision and dedication in building YNAP into a successful enterprise.

Geoffroy Lefebvre has been working closely with Richemont to expand its e-commerce platform over the past two years, preparing him well for his new role at YNAP. Marchetti expressed his faith in Lefebvre’s capabilities, highlighting his deep understanding of the company’s business model. The transition in leadership comes at an important time for YNAP, as the company celebrates its 20th anniversary.

Reflecting on his entrepreneurial journey, Marchetti expressed pride in YNAP’s evolution from a start-up to a powerhouse in the industry. He sees the company as well-positioned for continued growth in the future. With Lefebvre at the helm, YNAP looks to embark on a new phase of expansion and innovation.

As YNAP undergoes this leadership transition, Marchetti’s legacy as a trailblazer in luxury e-commerce will undoubtedly continue to shape the company’s strategic direction. The future looks bright for YNAP under the joint leadership of Marchetti as Chairman and Lefebvre as CEO.
