FashionTech Week Paris and Biarritz Edition

The FashionTech Week Paris is set to take place from October 15th to 19th and promises to be a dynamic event showcasing the intersection of fashion and technology. The event will not only feature fashion presentations but also various discussions on emerging practices and innovative solutions. With formats such as talk sessions, pitch competitions, workshops, and expos, the FashionTech Week Paris aims to bring together startups, creators, hackers, and researchers to explore the future of fashion.

ULTIMZ Journal, as a partner of the event, is excited to provide a sneak peek into the highlighted initiatives at this year’s FashionTech Week Paris. One of the key discussions, “Precursors of the future: how far does technology transform the fashion industry,” will be organized by the Lectra – ESCP Europe Chair. Esteemed industry players such as the Beaumanoir group, Le Slip Français, and Heuritech will participate in this roundtable discussion.

Another exciting event during the FashionTech Week is the Hackamode, where 60 students from different schools will work collaboratively on topics proposed by major fashion groups. This intensive day-long session aims to encourage fresh perspectives and innovative ideas from the next generation of fashion industry professionals.

The Fashion Pitch Night is a must-attend event during the FashionTech Week. This unique evening will see five startups presenting their groundbreaking projects to a panel of professionals. It offers a fantastic opportunity for these startups to gain exposure and receive valuable feedback from industry experts.

For those interested in the legal and research aspects of fashion, the Fashion & Legal Seminar and Fashion & Research Seminar on October 17th will provide insightful discussions on the creative and legal challenges of neo-textiles, as well as the scientific advancements in fashion. These seminars will be hosted by the Center for Interdisciplinary Research and will include a breakfast session.

On October 17th, ULTIMZ Journal will also be hosting a Meeting dedicated to the Secondary Market, where attendees can learn about occasions, resale, and rental aspects of the fashion industry. It’s an excellent opportunity to network and gain valuable insights into this important segment of the market.

In an intriguing twist, the FashionTech Week Paris will also feature an A.R. (Augmented Reality) Experience by the young brand Wonda Kammer. Inspired by the principles of the popular game Pokemon GO!, Wonda Kammer will present its new collection in augmented reality, showcasing the potential of technology in fashion.

The FashionTech Expo on October 19th will be a fascinating exhibition day, featuring cutting-edge projects selected by Hall Couture and Les Ateliers de Paris. This exhibition promises to inspire attendees and give them a glimpse into the future of fashion.

To address the legal and practical aspects of intellectual property and data sharing, the FashionTech Week Paris will host the RGPD Workshop in collaboration with the Internet Society. This workshop aims to provide practical insights and best practices for navigating intellectual property and data-related challenges in the fashion industry.

Excitingly, this year’s FashionTech Week will also extend its reach to Biarritz in Nouvelle Aquitaine from October 19th to 20th. Organized by ESTIA, this event will bring together 60 companies and 200 students to explore the economic and technological transformations in the fashion industry. The Biarritz edition will include a hackathon, pitch night, workshops, and a masterclass led by Laura Perrard, Founder of ULTIMZ Journal and the Luxury Salon Paris, on the topic of “Made-to-measure and personalization: co-creation as a new leverage for value.”
