Fashion for Good Plug and Play Programme

Fashion for Good, the Amsterdam-based global operating platform dedicated to driving innovation in the fashion industry, has recently announced the 12 startups that will be participating in its highly anticipated Plug and Play Programme. These startups have been carefully selected to undergo a rigorous twelve-week course that will provide them with invaluable mentorship from some of Fashion for Good’s esteemed corporate partners, including the likes of Adidas, C&A, Galeries Lafayette, Kering, PVH Corp, Target, and Zalando. The ultimate goal of this program is to empower these startups to revolutionize the fashion industry through the use of cutting-edge technologies and groundbreaking business models.

The competition to be selected for this prestigious program was intense, with hundreds of startups from all corners of the globe vying for a spot. The final roster of chosen startups truly showcases a diverse and international perspective on sustainable fashion, with representatives hailing from three different continents and a total of eight nationalities. From a cloud platform developer to creators of algae-based dyes and fibers, these startups represent a wide range of innovative solutions aimed at transforming the fashion industry for the better.

Fashion for Good emphasizes that these chosen startups cover crucial areas of the fashion supply chain and place a strong emphasis on pioneering new business models that prioritize sustainability and ethical practices. Since its establishment in 2017 by the C&A Foundation, Fashion for Good has been at the forefront of the movement to make the fashion industry more sustainable. By bringing together a wide array of stakeholders, including brands, producers, retailers, suppliers, non-profit organizations, innovators, and funders, Fashion for Good is working towards a common goal of a more sustainable and ethical fashion industry.

The Plug and Play Accelerator Programme is a collaborative effort between Fashion for Good and Plug and Play, a renowned early-stage investor based in Silicon Valley. This latest edition of their partnership marks their fourth collaboration, underscoring their shared commitment to supporting startups that are driving innovation in sustainable fashion.
