Fashion Awards 2019 Nominees

Gucci, Bottega Veneta, and Loewe are taking center stage at this year’s Fashion Awards, with each brand receiving four prestigious nominations from the British Fashion Council. This highly anticipated event, scheduled for December 2 at London’s Royal Albert Hall, stands as a premier platform for honoring talent within the UK fashion industry while also supporting the British Fashion Council’s initiatives through fundraising efforts.

The nominees for the various awards were selected by a panel of 2,500 industry experts who cast their votes based on their industry insights and perspectives. Gucci, a consistent standout in the fashion world, continues to make waves by earning nominations in multiple categories, including a nod for Brand of the Year, a title they secured back in 2018.

Alongside other renowned names in the industry, the nominees for Brand of the Year 2019 boast an impressive lineup including the likes of Gucci, Bottega Veneta, Jacquemus, Loewe, and Prada. The Accessories Designer of the Year category sees luminaries such as Alessandro Michele of Gucci, Daniel Lee of Bottega Veneta, and Jonathan Anderson of Loewe competing for the coveted award.

Among the diverse array of nominees, British talent shines through the awards for British Designer of the Year in Menswear and Womenswear. Noteworthy contenders in the menswear category include Craig Green, Martine Rose, and Riccardo Tisci for Burberry, while the womenswear category features names like Daniel Lee, Jonathan Anderson, and Simone Rocha.

In recognition of emerging talent, the Fashion Awards will also highlight 100 individuals as part of the NEW WAVE: Creatives, acknowledging their innovative contributions to the industry across various creative disciplines. With a mix of global representation and homegrown talent, this year’s Fashion Awards promise to be a spectacular celebration of creativity, excellence, and innovation in the world of fashion.
