Farfetch Introduces ‘Anticipate Demand’ Service with Ten Prestigious Fashion Houses

Farfetch, the renowned e-commerce platform, has partnered with ten prestigious fashion houses to introduce a new service called “Anticipate Demand.” This service allows customers to pre-order items before their official release, granting them exclusive access and eliminating the frustration of quickly sold-out pieces.

The ten fashion houses participating in this collaboration are Balenciaga, Dolce & Gabbana, Khaite, Nanushka, Palm Angels, Nicholas Kirkwood, Oscar de la Renta, Casablanca, Off-White, and New Balance Collabs. Since August 25th, Farfetch has offered its customers the opportunity to invest in items that have not yet been available on brand websites or other e-commerce platforms.

The primary goal of the pre-order service is to provide exclusivity to customers while also helping brands adjust their production to meet demand, promoting eco-responsibility. By producing items closer to the actual demand, excessive waste and overproduction can be minimized.

Farfetch has estimated that pre-ordered items will be shipped within approximately four weeks, allowing customers to secure highly sought-after pieces in advance and avoid missing out on limited releases.

In addition to the launch of the pre-order service, Farfetch has announced its second-quarter 2021 results. The company reported an impressive 43% year-on-year increase in revenue, reaching a remarkable $523 million in just three months.

This new offering by Farfetch aligns perfectly with the company’s commitment to innovation and customer satisfaction. By allowing customers to pre-order items, Farfetch ensures that they remain at the forefront of fashion trends and caters to the desires of their discerning clientele. With the introduction of this service, Farfetch further solidifies its position as a leading global e-commerce platform in the luxury fashion industry.
