Eugénie Trochu Appointed as Head of Editorial Content at Vogue Paris

Vogue Paris has recently announced that Eugénie Trochu will be assuming the position of head of editorial content. Trochu, who has been a part of the company since 2011, will now be responsible for overseeing the operations, strategy, and editorial vision of the renowned fashion publication. This appointment comes as Emmanuelle Alt, who served as editor-in-chief of French Vogue for a decade, departs from the position.

In recent months, Condé Nast International has been undergoing a series of restructuring efforts. As part of this larger initiative, experienced editors are being replaced by a new generation that is more digitally adept. Trochu’s appointment falls in line with this strategy.

Trochu’s journey with Condé Nast began ten years ago as an intern for Vogue US in Paris. Her deep passion for and dedication to the fashion industry has only grown stronger over the years. She has played a pivotal role in cultivating strong relationships within the fashion community while also expanding Vogue’s digital presence in the market.

Anna Wintour, global editorial director at Vogue and chief content officer at Condé Nast, commended Trochu, stating, “Eugénie first joined Condé Nast a decade ago, and throughout the last decade, her passion for and dedication to the world of fashion has only strengthened.” Wintour added, “With Eugénie’s appointment as head of editorial content, we aim to elevate trends across French fashion, culture, and style so they speak louder to Vogue’s global audience.”

Edward Enninful OBE, Vogue’s European editorial director, also emphasized the importance of the French edition of the publication in the fashion world. Enninful noted, “With Eugénie’s appointment, we aim to elevate trends across French fashion, culture, and style, so they speak louder to Vogue’s global audience.”

Trochu, who holds a degree in literature and journalism from the Sorbonne, has had an impressive career at Vogue Paris. She most recently served as the fashion editor of Vogue.fr and market editor of Vogue Paris. In her new role, she will be based in Paris and work under the guidance of Wintour and Enninful.

This appointment aligns with Condé Nast’s global editorial strategy, which focuses on bringing fresh perspectives and digital expertise to its publications. Trochu’s appointment follows the recent appointment of Francesca Ragazzi to a similar role at Vogue Italia.

As Vogue Paris continues to evolve and adapt to the changing media landscape, Trochu’s leadership in editorial content will undoubtedly contribute to the publication’s ongoing success and relevance in the fashion industry.
