Etro Announces Appointment of Fabrizio Cardinali as CEO

Italian luxury fashion house Etro has made an exciting announcement regarding the appointment of Fabrizio Cardinali as its new CEO. Cardinali, who will officially assume the role in the fourth quarter of this year, brings with him over 25 years of strategic leadership experience in the luxury fashion industry. With a proven track record of driving international brand growth, Cardinali’s addition to the Etro team is highly anticipated.

Prior to joining Etro, Cardinali held various positions at renowned fashion brand Dolce & Gabbana, including the role of COO and executive member of the board since June 2017. He also spent five years at luxury conglomerate Richemont, where he served as CEO of prestigious fashion brands Dunhill and Lancel.

Cardinali’s appointment aligns with Etro’s strategic partnership with L Catterton, a global consumer-focused private equity firm. This partnership, which was announced in July, aims to support Etro’s growth and expansion plans. By working closely with L Catterton and the founding family of Etro, including chairman Gerolamo Etro, Cardinali will have the opportunity to seize various growth opportunities. This includes expanding the customer base, enhancing category offerings, and further establishing Etro’s international footprint.

Luigi Feola, managing partner and head of Europe at L Catterton, has praised Cardinali’s exceptional leadership skills and creative energy. With his expertise and operational skills, Cardinali is expected to play a crucial role in driving Etro’s growth and building upon its remarkable legacy worldwide.

The appointment of Fabrizio Cardinali as CEO marks a significant milestone for Etro. With his extensive experience and strategic vision, Cardinali is poised to lead the fashion house into a new chapter of success, further solidifying Etro’s position as a prominent player in the luxury fashion industry.
