ESW Appoints Martim Avillez Oliveira as CEO for Europe and the UK

ESW, the expert in cross-border shopping, has recently appointed Martim Avillez Oliveira as its CEO for Europe and the UK. Oliveira, who joined the company in 2020 as a member of the advisory board and has previously served as the European Chief Commercial Officer, will now take on the responsibility of expanding the ESW brand and increasing its presence in the region. Oliveira brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the role, with 15 years of industry experience in retail and global sourcing, having worked for renowned companies such as Li & Fung, Inditex, M&S, J Crew, and Galeria Karstadt Kaufhof.

ESW has also made other strategic hires for its European leadership team, further reinforcing its commitment to growth. Alan Clarke, previously the Global Commercial Group lead at Klarna, has joined as the Chief Commercial Officer for Europe. His expertise in commercial operations will prove invaluable in expanding ESW’s reach. Neil Ward, with over two decades of experience in transformation and change, has been appointed as the Chief Transformation Officer. Ward’s diverse skills will be vital in driving ESW’s growth and development. These appointments are particularly significant as ESW recently acquired Scalefast, marking a new phase of expansion for the company in 2022.
