Emilio Pucci x Tomo Koizumi Collaboration

Emilio Pucci, the esteemed Italian luxury brand under the LVMH group, has recently announced an exciting collaboration with the talented Japanese designer, Tomotoka Koizumi. Koizumi, who runs his own womenswear label, Tomo Koizumi, gained recognition for his innovative designs and was named joint winner of this year’s LVMH Prize alongside seven other finalists. This partnership marks a significant step for Pucci, which has been without a creative director since 2017.

Although Tomo Koizumi may not be a household name, his distinctive creations have captured the attention of the fashion world. Known for his voluminous and sculptural pieces crafted from polyester organza, embellished with bold frills and flounces, Koizumi’s designs have earned praise from industry insiders. With the support of prominent figures like British journalist and designer Katie Grand, Koizumi made a memorable debut at the Marc Jacobs store in New York in February 2019.

Described as a visionary who combines exquisite artisanship with a whimsical interpretation of femininity, Tomo Koizumi is set to infuse his unique aesthetic into Emilio Pucci’s upcoming Spring/Summer 2021 collection. This collaboration aims to inject a playful and spectacular element into Pucci’s signature sophisticated and feminine style. The highly-anticipated Tomo Koizumi x Pucci capsule collection will be revealed through a captivating short film during Milan Fashion Week on September 26, 2020. Following the premiere, the collection will be available at Emilio Pucci boutiques worldwide and select retail partners starting in March 2021.
