Eden Park Launches Luxury Watch Collection

Eden Park, the luxury brand known for its rugby-inspired clothing, has recently expanded its offerings with the launch of its first-ever watch collection. Created in collaboration with renowned watchmaker Herbelin, the collection perfectly captures the essence of Eden Park’s brand by combining sportiness with chic elegance.

The debut collection features a unique curvy rectangular shape that pays homage to the iconic Eden Park stadium in New Zealand, which is famous for being the toughest ground in rugby. The watches are designed to be sturdy, reliable, tough, and smart, catering to the needs of rugby fans. Each watch proudly displays Eden Park’s signature pink bow-tie logo and is adorned with red, white, and blue thread on the watchband, representing the brand’s French heritage. Additionally, all watches carry the brand’s motto – French Flair.

The collection is divided into two distinct groups: French Flair Sport and French Flair Club. The Sport range is specifically targeted towards rugby players and features Roman numerals at the top of the watch face, with Arabic numerals below the halfway line, inspired by the numbering systems used in rugby teams. On the other hand, the Club range is designed for those who enjoy watching matches from the stands and want to show their support for their favorite teams.

Benjamin Theurillat, partner and sales manager at Herbelin, has high expectations for the Eden Park watches. He anticipates that they will be available in approximately 300 points of sale by the end of this year and will expand internationally to 1,000 points of sale within the next three years. Priced competitively between €400 and €600, these watches offer a stylish and affordable addition to the Eden Park product range.

Franck Mesnel, the founder and majority shareholder of Eden Park, expressed his satisfaction with the collaboration with Herbelin, describing it as a perfect understanding of their brand concept. Mesnel, a renowned French rugby player who played in the first-ever Rugby World Cup final in 1987, founded Eden Park shortly after the tournament. Despite facing challenges in the past, the brand has experienced a remarkable comeback post-pandemic, thanks to its smart new stores and renewed focus on its rugby heritage and values.

Eden Park’s identity is deeply rooted in rugby and its values, offering consumers quality products at affordable prices. The brand has become a source of familiarity and comfort for consumers during challenging times. From its signature pink bow tie to embroidered bow ties on blazers and sporting details on shirts, Eden Park’s distinct identity is evident throughout its collection.

Currently retailing in 39 countries with over 550 points of sale, Eden Park aims to achieve €75 million in revenues by 2023. With the upcoming Rugby World Cup taking place in France, the brand anticipates strong double-digit growth compared to the previous year. Mesnel, an expert rugby commentator, shares his optimism for France’s chances in the tournament and believes that the team has what it takes to win the ultimate prize.
