Drest: The Revolutionary Styling App

Drest, the groundbreaking styling app that merges gaming with ecommerce, is poised to completely transform the way fashion aficionados engage with luxury brands. Created by Lucy Yeomans, the former editor-in-chief of Net-A-Porter’s Porter magazine, Drest offers users a unique opportunity to step into the shoes of a fashion stylist and partake in creative challenges right from their mobile devices.

Set to launch in early access mode on October 8th, Drest empowers players to choose models, clothing items, hairstyles, makeup looks, as well as locations and backdrops to craft visually captivating outfits. These creations can be shared within the app and on various social media platforms, enabling users to engage in friendly competition. However, Drest is not just a game; it acts as a powerful platform for fostering user-generated narratives, facilitating brand interaction, and driving ecommerce.

Teaming up with renowned Italian luxury label Gucci, Drest allows players to style and shop Gucci’s Fall/Winter 2019 collection in real time. Besides Gucci, Farfetch will also provide an extensive array of fashion choices on the app, with a curated selection of products from emerging independent brands. Drest functions as an affiliate partner to Farfetch, earning a commission for every transaction conducted via the app.

Lucy Yeomans, the visionary behind Drest and its co-CEO, aims to captivate Millennials and Gen Z users who prioritize self-expression and individuality while also resonating with existing fashion devotees. Additionally, the app champions various social causes such as digital responsibility, mental health awareness, body positivity, and female empowerment. Drest intends to donate 5% of all in-game micro-transaction revenues towards supporting these causes in the future.

Scheduled for full launch in early 2020, Drest will be available for download on The App Store and Google Play, offering users a plethora of features to be rolled out gradually in the upcoming months. With its fresh take on fashion styling and seamless brand integration, Drest is on track to redefine the fashion landscape as we know it.
