Dr Martens is partnering with the Heaven by Marc Jacobs brand once again for an exciting new collaboration. Known for embodying the rebellious spirit of 90s youth, the Heaven project launched in 2020 and quickly gained popularity. This collaboration with Dr Martens perfectly aligns with the brand’s long-standing image, making it a natural choice for a second collaboration.
For this collaboration, Dr Martens worked closely with Heaven’s creative director, Ava Nirui, to explore new ways of incorporating the playful and edgy aesthetic that defined the 90s. The focus of this collaboration is on two iconic Dr Martens silhouettes that capture the spirit of the era.
One of the standout pieces in the collection is a reimagined version of the classic Mary Jane shoe. The Addina Double Stitch Bex is a rugged and 1980s-inspired take on the iconic shoe. Made with Dr Martens’ renowned black Smooth leather, this shoe features durable welted construction and a 1.5-inch Bex outsole. The rebellious spirit of the shoe is further enhanced by a double yellow welt stitch, while the strap is adorned with a brushed silver buckle featuring Heaven’s double-headed bear logo. The heel loop is also detailed with a black and yellow scripted AirWair design, adding a unique touch to this iconic silhouette.
The collection also includes an adjustable two-strap version of the Ricki sandal. Built on a lightweight 1.9-inch Quad Neoteric platform sole, these sandals are both comfortable and stylish. Constructed using black Brando leather, they feature brushed silver clasps adorned with Heaven’s double-headed bear logo. Dr Martens’ signature yellow welt stitch and a dual-branded moulded rubber label on the ankle complete the look of these fashionable sandals.
Fans of both Dr Martens and the Heaven brand can mark their calendars for June 6th, as that is when the collection will be launched.
