Dr Martens and A-Cold-Wall Collaboration: Redefining Workwear

Dr Martens has once again teamed up with fashion label A-Cold-Wall to release a new collection that redefines overlooked workwear. This collaboration between the iconic British footwear brand and the innovative fashion label aims to infuse subcultural influences into functional designs, rejecting the over-designed mainstream.

Samuel Ross, the founder of A-Cold-Wall, is known for his use of socio-political graphics. However, this collection takes a different approach, focusing on functionality, strong silhouettes, and subtle details. Building on previous seasons, the collection features the signature double-height Bex sole, providing a sturdy foundation for the designs. Playing with light and shade, the collection includes a black-on-black 1461 shoe, a monochrome white 1461 shoe, and a 1460 boot.

What sets these designs apart are the crisp architectural structures that replace traditional eyelets on the shoe profiles. This unique feature has been a defining element of the collaboration since its inception. In addition, traditional laces have been replaced with sleek front zips, maintaining the controlled form of the boots and shoes. Gunmetal rivets, embossed leather, and exaggerated side panels further enhance the collection. The signature Dr Martens AirWair heel loop and welt stitch are presented without color for the pure white boot and shoe. The collection also includes a co-branded, reflective swing tag.

Fashion enthusiasts eagerly anticipating these highly anticipated pieces can purchase them starting next Monday through A-Cold-Wall’s webstore. The collection will also be available on the Dr Martens webstore and at select partners the following day. Dr Martens has consistently shown its ability to create exciting collaborations, and this partnership with A-Cold-Wall is no exception.
