Dr. Hjördis Kettenbach, the longstanding Head of Corporate Communications at Hugo Boss, has decided to depart the company after an illustrious 20-year tenure. Her departure, effective at the end of September, marks the end of an era for the German fashion powerhouse. Kettenbach’s legacy includes overseeing global communications initiatives, working closely with multiple CEOs, acting as the group spokesperson, and spearheading the international Arts Sponsorship program.
While Kettenbach has not disclosed her future plans, she has expressed a deep connection to Hugo Boss. Stepping into her shoes on October 1 is Carolin Westermann, a seasoned professional with over 12 years of experience at the company in various corporate communications roles. Westermann will now report directly to Christian Stöhr, who is ascending to the role of Senior Head of Investor Relations and Corporate Communications at Hugo Boss AG.
Yves Müller, the managing board spokesperson, has lauded the appointment of Westermann, commending her extensive knowledge of the brand and her proficiency in corporate communications. The transition to Westermann signifies a new phase in Hugo Boss’s communication strategy, as the brand continues its legacy of success in the competitive fashion industry.
