Disclaimer for Cars & Motorbikes

Before considering a purchase, we’d like to share some important information with you regarding vehicles listed on ULTIMZ. Please keep these points in mind as you explore our offerings.

  1. Use of Visuals and Descriptions
    • The photos, videos, and object descriptions are intended as references only.
    • ULTIMZ employs in-house experts who virtually review and approve all vehicles for sale. While this is done with great care, it’s essential to note that our experts typically don’t physically inspect the vehicles. Therefore, the condition of the vehicle is primarily based on the provided photos and information from the sellers.
  2. Object Descriptions
    • We insist that sellers provide accurate and transparent descriptions of their objects. However, it’s important to understand that these descriptions can’t provide a comprehensive analysis of the vehicle’s true condition.
    • References to the condition in the object description or condition report should not be considered a complete representation, as images may not fully depict the condition. Additionally, the condition might appear differently on screen compared to a physical inspection.
    • While condition reports offer a third-party opinion, they may not cover all faults, inherent defects, restorations, alterations, or adaptations. For this reason, we strongly encourage potential buyers to view or arrange inspections of the vehicles before bidding to make well-informed decisions.
  3. Visual and Audio Quality
    • Many of the photos and videos provided by our sellers are captured using basic cameras. As a result, some finer details may not be visible, and sound quality may be average. This means that engine and exhaust notes may sound slightly different from reality.

Important Considerations Before Bidding

Now, let’s delve into some vital aspects to keep in mind when bidding on vehicles through ULTIMZ.

  1. Transportation and Registration
    • Unless explicitly stated otherwise, your bid does not include transportation or export costs. It’s crucial to factor in these expenses before placing your bid. Sellers may offer transportation services, but you can also make your own arrangements.
  2. Classic Vehicles
    • Most of the vehicles in our auctions are classic and collector vehicles. These vehicles have often led eventful lives, so even a vehicle in condition 1 will rarely meet “factory production grade” standards or be suitable for daily use without specific routine maintenance.
  3. Grading System
    • The grading system for classic vehicle conditions is unique to ULTIMZ and may differ from third-party grading or certification authorities like TÜV, APK, and CT. In case of any disparities in grading, the condition indicated by the seller takes precedence.
  4. “Sold As Is”
    • All vehicles are sold in the condition provided by the seller. The seller’s opinion on the condition may differ from yours, your local garage’s, or the dealer’s opinion. However, this doesn’t necessarily imply that the vehicle doesn’t match its description or condition.
  5. Vehicle Registration
    • Please be aware of local regulations concerning vehicle registration. ULTIMZ and the seller cannot be held responsible for vehicle registration in your country. While the seller may assist with relevant paperwork, such as a certificate of conformity (CoC), it may not be mandatory for registration in some countries.
  6. Paint Repairs
    • Collectible and classic cars often undergo localized paint repairs. These repairs, if done professionally, may be imperceptible online. As a general rule, unless otherwise stated, assume that a vehicle may have had some remedial bodywork in its history.
  7. “Oil Sweating”
    • Classic cars are known to experience “oil sweating,” resulting in minor oil leakage with use. Such occurrences are generally tolerable.
  8. Odometer Reading
    • Unless otherwise specified, the stated mileage should be considered as an “odometer reading.” For certain classic vehicles, determining the true mileage can be challenging.
  9. Test Drive
    • Even if the vehicle’s condition allows for it, we advise against driving a classic car for an extended period, particularly if you are not experienced with such vehicles. It’s essential to perform necessary technical checks before any substantial driving.
  10. Future Maintenance
    • While the seller may document any required maintenance and restorations, it’s wise to anticipate potential future maintenance needs based on your satisfaction with the vehicle’s condition. Classic cars offer opportunities for improvement, restoration, over-restoration, or customization, which adds to the joy of owning them.
  11. Comparing Driving Performance
    • It’s important to note that the driving performance of two classic vehicles, even if they are the same model, may vary significantly due to their unique maintenance histories.
