Dior to Make Significant Investment in Historical Sites in Greece

In a few days, luxury fashion house Dior will be making a significant investment in several historical sites in ancient Greece. The renowned brand has been given permission by the Ministry of Culture to organize a photoshoot at various classified sites, including the iconic Acropolis of Athens, the Agora, the Odeon of Herodes Atticus, the Temple of Poseidon in Sounion, and the Temple of Zeus in Nemea. This exciting project has received unanimous approval from the central council of archaeology in Greece.

Furthermore, discussions are underway regarding Dior’s potential access to the Panathenaic Stadium in Athens, which holds historical significance as the venue for the 1896 Olympic Games. This collaboration with Greece holds great symbolic value for the Parisian brand, as it aims to pay homage to a previous Haute Couture photoshoot conducted at the Acropolis 70 years ago.

Scheduled for early June, the upcoming photoshoot will not only serve as brand content for Dior but will also play a vital role in presenting their Dior Cruise 2022 fashion show. The fashion show is set to take place in the Greek capital on June 17th, although the exact location has yet to be revealed. While initially considering the Parthenon as the event’s venue, Dior reportedly changed their plans due to the recent concrete paving of the site’s entrance plaza, a decision that was not endorsed by the brand.
