Dior Launches Online Platform to Support Women in Entrepreneurship

Dior is following in the footsteps of Veuve Clicquot by launching its own online platform to support women in entrepreneurship. As part of its Women@Dior mentoring program, which was established in 2017, Dior has introduced a unique platform aimed at education and empowerment.

The platform is designed for 500 female students from partner institutions of Dior and the LVMH group. It provides them with access to a series of courses focused on gender equality and women’s leadership, with the goal of creating a responsible future. In response to the social distancing measures implemented amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, Dior has created the “Women Leadership & Sustainability” website, the first of its kind to be initiated by the luxury brand.

The platform is structured around the four pillars of the Women@Dior program: autonomy, inclusion, creativity, and sustainable development. It offers fifteen thematic courses over the course of one year. These courses are delivered by professors from renowned schools such as Central Saint Martins, Bocconi University, HEC, and CentraleSupélec Paris.

To complete the training, participants are required to develop and present an individual project that aims to support the empowerment of young girls at the local level. The most successful projects will receive support from Dior and the LVMH group, which recently announced the 30 finalists of its LVMH Innovation Award.

Since its launch three years ago, the Women@Dior mentoring program has grown to include 400 mentees from thirteen different countries.

This initiative by Dior demonstrates the brand’s commitment to supporting and empowering women in the fashion industry. By providing education and resources through their online platform, Dior is enabling these female students to develop the skills and knowledge necessary for success in their careers. This not only benefits the individual students, but also contributes to the overall advancement of gender equality within the industry.

Overall, Dior’s Women@Dior mentoring program and the new online platform are important steps towards creating a more inclusive and sustainable future for women in fashion.
