After an extensive two and a half years of construction, Maison Dior unveiled the newly revamped 30 Montaigne boutique at the beginning of 2022. This iconic address not only houses a retail space but also features a restaurant, a Haute Joaillerie workshop, and a remarkable 2,000 square meter exhibition area called La Galerie.
La Galerie, dedicated to preserving and showcasing the brand’s history, has been a part of the European Heritage Days program since last year, allowing visitors to delve into the captivating heritage of the esteemed fashion house. It presents a unique opportunity to discover or rediscover the brand’s legacy through a captivating journey that traces the inspirations and masterpieces of Christian Dior and his accomplished successors who have taken charge of the collections.
Among the key highlights of Galerie Dior is the mesmerizing showcase of the central staircase, featuring an astonishing display of 452 dresses and 1,422 miniaturized accessories created through the innovative technique of 3D printing. Visitors will also have the chance to explore the recent updates incorporated within the exhibition space. These include dedicated staging for the Miss Dior ready-to-wear line, the fascinating connections between Kim Jones’ creations as the artistic director of Dior Homme collections and the world of contemporary art, and even Christian Dior’s profound interest in the Age of Enlightenment.
