Diesel Opens Milan Fashion Week Show to the Public

Diesel, the renowned Italian luxury brand, is set to make fashion show history with its upcoming Milan fashion week show. The brand will open its doors to the general public, allowing anyone the opportunity to witness the highly anticipated Diesel Spring/Summer 2023 collection. This groundbreaking move reflects Diesel’s commitment to inclusivity and embracing new ways of engaging with its audience.

The show, which will take place on September 21, will be under the creative direction of Glenn Martens, who joined Diesel as creative director earlier this year. Martens brought a fresh perspective to the brand with his debut show during the Fall/Winter 2022 season, receiving positive feedback for his innovative designs and unique vision. This will be his second collection presented for Diesel.

To attend the show, interested individuals can register through an online process on Diesel’s website. Registration will open on September 1 and will be on a first come, first serve basis. By opening the show to the public, Diesel is breaking the mold of exclusive fashion shows and giving fashion enthusiasts a chance to witness the event live.

In addition, Diesel will also livestream the show on its own digital channels, ensuring that the event reaches a wider audience. This move not only allows fashion enthusiasts from around the world to be part of the show, but it also showcases Diesel’s commitment to embracing technology and engaging with its audience in new and exciting ways.

Diesel’s decision to open the Milan fashion week show to the public comes shortly after its parent company, OTB, appointed Eraldo Poletto as its new global CEO. OTB reported impressive growth in net sales for 2021, reaching 1.456 billion euros, an 18% increase compared to the previous year. OTB oversees other notable fashion brands such as Jil Sander, Marni, Viktor & Rolf, and Maison Margiela.

Overall, Diesel’s bold move to invite the public to its fashion show demonstrates the brand’s commitment to inclusivity and its desire to connect with a wider audience. By embracing technology and livestreaming capabilities, Diesel ensures that fashion enthusiasts worldwide can experience the excitement and creativity of the Milan fashion week show. This innovative approach sets a new precedent in the fashion industry and paves the way for greater accessibility and engagement in the future.
