Da Milano’s International Expansion Plans

Da Milano, a renowned accessories brand hailing from India, is setting its sights on international expansion as it approaches its 30th year in the retail industry. With its transit retail segment now accounting for 30 percent of its total revenue, Da Milano is looking to venture into countries like Nepal, Thailand, and the UK for further growth opportunities.

Managing Director Sahil Malik revealed that the brand is eyeing markets in the UK, Singapore, Thailand, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Nepal, and Kuwait for potential expansion. This strategic move aligns with Da Milano’s goal to establish a strong global presence and solidify its position as a leading accessory brand on the international stage.

In addition to the plans for new store openings, Da Milano is also exploring the franchising model to penetrate overseas markets more efficiently. The brand’s expansion in India will see the opening of standalone stores in key locations like Aerocity in Delhi, VR Malls in Chennai and Surat, Phoenix Mall in Lucknow, and retail outlets at Hyderabad and Kochi airports.

Da Milano currently operates 80 Exclusive Business Outlets (EBOs) in India, with 15 located at major airports across the country and four international outlets. The brand’s presence in airport locations has been particularly successful, with transit retail proving to be a significant revenue driver due to its range of travel essentials like passport holders and leather suitcases.

With the rapid growth of transit retail, Da Milano is also exploring distribution opportunities with Duty Free setups in Dubai, Bahrain, and Thailand, as well as a retail touchpoint at Changi Airport in Singapore. These initiatives underscore the brand’s commitment to expanding its global footprint and catering to the evolving needs of travelers worldwide.

As Da Milano embarks on its journey to conquer new markets and strengthen its brand presence internationally, it continues to uphold its reputation for luxury and quality craftsmanship. With a firm focus on delivering premium accessories and personalized shopping experiences, Da Milano is poised for success in the competitive landscape of the global retail market.
