Condé Nast International Launches Vogue Hong Kong

Condé Nast International continues to push boundaries and expand its global footprint with the highly-anticipated launch of Vogue Hong Kong. By introducing the iconic fashion magazine to the vibrant city of Hong Kong, Condé Nast is not only recognizing the city’s growing significance as a luxury destination but also reaffirming its dedication to delivering premium fashion content worldwide.

Adding to the roster of 25 international editions, Vogue Hong Kong will be the latest addition to the prestigious Vogue family, standing alongside other Asian powerhouses such as Vogue China, Japan, Taiwan, Korea, Thailand, and India. The magazine will be produced in partnership with Rubicon Media Ltd, with industry veteran Desiree Au taking on the role of publisher.

The decision to establish Vogue Hong Kong was a strategic one, driven by the city’s reputation as a mecca for fashion-forward individuals and trendsetters within the Greater China region. With a bilingual platform offering content in Chinese and English, Vogue Hong Kong aims to cater to the diverse and discerning tastes of urban consumers in the city.

Jonathan Newhouse, the visionary leader behind Condé Nast International, expressed his enthusiasm for Vogue’s debut in Hong Kong, positioning the city at the forefront of global fashion excellence. Newhouse highlights Vogue Hong Kong as a pivotal platform for connecting with modern women seeking inspiration, individuality, and self-expression in the ever-evolving fashion landscape.

The appointment of Desiree Au as publisher underscores Vogue Hong Kong’s dedication to embracing the city’s unique cultural identity and flair for style. Au envisions the publication as a hub for fostering creativity and spotlighting individualism in an era defined by personal expression and authenticity.

With Vogue Hong Kong poised for success, Condé Nast International is confident in the city’s potential to thrive as a fashion capital in Asia. Markus Grindel, managing director of licensing at Condé Nast, notes that Hong Kong’s affluent market and well-established media landscape provide a solid foundation for Vogue’s success in the region.

As Vogue Hong Kong prepares to make its mark on the global fashion stage, the city is ready to shine as a beacon of style and sophistication in Asia. The magazine’s presence will not only celebrate Hong Kong’s dynamic fashion scene but also showcase its distinctive blend of tradition and innovation to a worldwide audience, solidifying its position as a key player in the luxury industry.
