Collector Square Expands with New Pop-Up Store in Paris

Collector Square, a leading online platform specializing in the sale of second-hand luxury leather goods and watchmaking-jewelry, has recently opened a new temporary space in the prestigious golden triangle of Paris. This move comes as Collector Square aims to expand its reach beyond the online realm. The company, which recorded impressive figures of over one million monthly visitors to its platform and generated 18 million euros in revenue in 2018, is now making its mark on the upscale Rue du Faubourg Saint Honoré.

Situated opposite the renowned Bristol Hotel, the Collector Square pop-up store covers an expansive area of 150m2 and will exhibit an exclusive selection of 500 items until January of next year. This collection is carefully curated from among the 10,000 pieces available in Collector Square’s catalog. The display includes coveted items such as a blue crocodile Kelly bag from Hermès, a nude Lady Dior with gray cannage, an Art Deco platinum and diamond ring, and a Patek Philippe Calatrava Clous de Paris yellow gold timepiece from the 90s. One distinguishing feature of these pieces is their assurance of authenticity, having been thoroughly examined and verified by the company’s team of experts. It is worth noting that leather goods constitute 40% of Collector Square’s business activities.

Collector Square was founded six years ago by Nicolas Orlowski, who also serves as the CEO of the esteemed Artcurial group. The company initially established its permanent showroom in a private mansion in the fashionable neighborhood of Saint-Germain-des-Prés three years ago. However, this temporary space on Rue du Faubourg Saint Honoré will provide a more accessible and prominent location for collectors and enthusiasts of luxury goods to explore and make purchases.

The timing of Collector Square’s expansion coincides with Bucherer’s recent unveiling of a new brick-and-mortar concept store aimed at catering to collectors and enthusiasts of pre-owned luxury watches. This move further reinforces the growing trend and popularity of the second-hand luxury market, which is projected to exceed a staggering $51 billion by 2023.

The Collector Square pop-up store can be found at 69 Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré, Paris 8, and will be open to the public from September 2, 2019, until January 31, 2020.
