Colette and Karl Lagerfeld collaborate on collection

On April 1st, Colette, the renowned concept store, exclusively launched the highly anticipated collaboration between Karl Lagerfeld and fashion caricaturist Tiffany Cooper on their e-shop. The new collection, designed by Lagerfeld and brought to life by Cooper’s artistic talent, was a treat for Colette customers who had the privilege of being the first to discover it. With his trademark humor and wit, Lagerfeld approached Cooper to caricature famous fashion designers including Marc Jacobs, Donatella Versace, and even himself, the Kaiser.

This collaboration is a significant milestone for Cooper, as Lagerfeld personally contacted her to initiate this exciting project. Together, the two artists created a capsule collection that will be available in all 17 Karl Lagerfeld stores and on Colette’s e-shop. To commemorate the occasion, Cooper produced a captivating video showcasing the collection, with Lagerfeld’s beloved Birman cat, Choupette, as the face of this unique line.

Cooper’s artistic creations playfully incorporate Choupette into various accessories, such as iPhone cases, slippers, tote bags, clutches, caps, and jewelry. In addition to accessories, the collection also includes ready-to-wear items like jeans and sweatshirts. Choupette, at just three years old, has already been involved in numerous projects initiated by Lagerfeld. She has her own dedicated book, “Choupette, the Enchanted Life of a Fashionable Cat,” and an impressive Instagram following of 58,000. Furthermore, she has even starred in commercials for a German car brand and a Japanese cosmetics brand, Shu Uemura.

The collaboration between Tiffany Cooper and Karl Lagerfeld doesn’t end here. Cooper is currently working on a comic book that tells the fascinating story of Lagerfeld. Fans can anticipate its release in September 2015, adding yet another exciting element to this creative partnership.
