During Paris Fashion Week, shoe designer Christian Louboutin has ventured into the world of gaming. As luxury brands increasingly explore gamification opportunities to engage with younger consumers, Louboutin has chosen the South Korean “social gaming” app, Zepeto, for his foray into the animated world. The app allows users to immerse themselves in the designer’s universe, either as observers or by creating their own avatar.

“Loubi World” within the app showcases the brand’s latest shoes and bags, while also offering interactive experiences such as virtual ice cream tastings and performances by singer King Princess. The app’s interface replicates some of Louboutin’s favorite spots in Paris, allowing users to virtually visit iconic locations like the Eiffel Tower and the designer’s flagship store on Rue Saint-Honoré. Additionally, users can participate in challenges to win fictional cash prizes and exclusive virtual items, and even take group virtual photo shoots and selfies.

Zepeto app, which boasts 178 million players, is an ideal platform for Louboutin to gain visibility and drive conversion, thanks to its ability to offer virtual products for sale.
