Christian Louboutin Exhibition Comes to Monaco

More than two years after its debut in Paris, the highly anticipated exhibition dedicated to the iconic shoe designer Christian Louboutin will be coming to Monaco this summer. Titled “Christian Louboutin, L’Exhibition[niste],” the exhibition previously took place at the Palais de la Porte Dorée in Paris and will now be hosted at the prestigious Grimaldi Forum in Monaco from July 9th to August 28th.

While the Paris exhibition focused on showcasing Louboutin’s impressive body of work, his creative process, and the influences behind his designs, the Monaco edition will take a deeper dive into the designer’s connection with the principality. This unique showcase will explore the local inspirations that have fueled Louboutin’s artistic universe. A significant section of the exhibition, aptly named “Musée imaginaire,” will feature personal items belonging to the designer, alongside carefully curated pieces from public and private collections sourced from various museums in Monaco.

In addition to delving into Louboutin’s love for dance and his fascination with African and Asian arts, the exhibition aims to celebrate his collaborations and creative exchanges. Visitors will have the extraordinary opportunity to embark on a curated journey co-created with renowned sculptor and painter Allen Jones, offering a truly immersive experience.

“Christian Louboutin, L’Exhibition[niste]” is just one of the exceptional fashion exhibitions that will kick off the summer season. Alongside this captivating showcase in Monaco, the Brooklyn Museum in New York will pay homage to the late Virgil Abloh, while Elsa Schiaparelli will be honored with a unique presentation at the MAD (Musée des Arts Décoratifs) in Paris.

If you’re fortunate enough to find yourself in Monaco this summer, make sure to seize the chance to immerse yourself in the world of Christian Louboutin at the illustrious Grimaldi Forum.
