Chloé Collaborates with Borsalino for Summer Collection

Luxury fashion brand Chloé has recently announced its collaboration with renowned Italian hat-maker Borsalino for a summer collection. This collaboration comes at a time when Chloé’s Creative Director, Gabriela Hearst, is preparing to depart from the brand. The new capsule collection features two straw hats, adding a stylish and trendy accessory option for the summer season.

This is the second collaboration revealed by Chloé in recent weeks. In June, the brand announced a partnership with newcomer label Atelier Jolie, founded by actress Angelina Jolie. Hearst, alongside Jolie, co-designed an exclusive ready-to-wear collection for Chloé, showcasing the brand’s commitment to collaborating with fresh and innovative designers.

Working closely with Borsalino, Chloé has developed two unique straw hat models for this collection. The first is the Woody panama hat, meticulously hand-woven and adorned with a linen and cotton hatband inspired by Chloé’s iconic handbags. The second is a women’s straw hat featuring a leather belt as a hatband. These designs showcase the brand’s attention to detail and commitment to creating high-quality fashion accessories.

Mauro Baglietto, managing director of Borsalino, expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration, highlighting its significance in pushing the boundaries of artisanal luxury. Borsalino has previously collaborated with other prestigious French fashion labels, such as Vilebrequin and Ami Paris, solidifying its reputation as a sought-after name in the industry.

The Borsalino X Chloé capsule collection is now available for purchase at Borsalino stores, allowing fashion enthusiasts to embrace the summer season with these stylish and unique hats. In the meantime, Chloé continues to work on various projects leading up to Hearst’s final collection, scheduled to be showcased during Paris Fashion Week in September. While no successor to Hearst has been announced yet, rumors have circulated about Julien Dossena, the creative director of Paco Rabanne for the past decade, possibly taking on the role.
