Chloé Announces Gabriela Hearst as New Creative Director

Chloé, the iconic Parisian label known for its chic and feminine designs, has recently made headlines with a major change in leadership. Following the departure of Natacha Ramsay-Levi, who had led the brand for the past four years, Chloé wasted no time in naming Gabriela Hearst as its new creative director.

In an official statement, Riccardo Bellini, the CEO of Chloé, expressed his enthusiasm for bringing Hearst on board. He lauded her innovative approach to fashion and her dedication to sustainable practices, highlighting how her values resonate with the modern Chloé woman. Bellini emphasized that Hearst’s creative vision and expertise will be instrumental in shaping the brand’s future direction.

Hearst, a trailblazing designer with a unique blend of Uruguayan and American heritage, has earned numerous accolades in the fashion industry, including the prestigious Woolmark Prize in 2017. She expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to lead Chloé and paid tribute to the brand’s founder, Gaby Aghion. Hearst also acknowledged the contributions of Ramsay-Levi and past designers in defining Chloé’s signature aesthetic.

As Chloé’s new creative director, Hearst is excited to work closely with Bellini and the rest of the team to enhance the brand’s commitment to ethical and sustainable fashion practices. Her official start date is set for December 7, and she plans to balance her responsibilities at Chloé with her ongoing work on her own label’s collections.

With Hearst at the creative helm, Chloé is embarking on a fresh chapter that emphasizes innovation, sustainability, and the empowerment of women. This strategic appointment signals a bold evolution for the beloved fashion house, positioning it as a leader in the industry’s transition towards a more conscious and socially responsible future.
