Charlotte Werner Named CEO of Giambattista Valli

Charlotte Werner has officially taken the reins as the new Chief Executive Officer of luxury fashion powerhouse Giambattista Valli, following a recent infusion of investment from Artémis. This strategic move is aimed at propelling the management of the esteemed designer and his brand to new heights of success.

The announcement of Werner’s appointment was met with praise from both Valli and Artémis, who lauded her remarkable background in luxury fashion, specifically in the realm of accessories and leather goods. With her wealth of experience, Werner is poised to lead the Maison into a transformative phase of expansion, building upon the legacy established by Giambattista Valli in 2005.

Before stepping into her role at Giambattista Valli, Werner honed her skills at Louis Vuitton, where she spearheaded Strategic Projects for Senior Executive Management and headed up Women’s Leather Goods Fashion collections. Her journey into the world of luxury fashion began at McKinsey & Company, where she advised top-tier clients within the industry on strategies for growth and enhancing performance.

In a move complementary to Werner’s appointment, Sandrine Valverde, a key figure in developing the commercial operations and distribution network for Giambattista Valli from the beginning, has been named Advisor to the President. Valli’s captivating collections, blending haute couture with ready-to-wear, have captivated fashion enthusiasts around the world with their lavish Roman-inspired aesthetics infused with a modern flair.

With a strong presence in more than 40 countries and flagship boutiques in major fashion capitals like Beijing, Doha, Milan, Paris, and Seoul, Giambattista Valli has solidified its status as a global luxury brand. While founder Giambattista Valli retains the majority stake in the brand, Artémis, the investment arm of the Pinault family, holds a minority share. The Pinault family boasts control over Kering, a renowned luxury conglomerate overseeing prestigious labels such as Gucci, Balenciaga, Bottega Veneta, and Saint Laurent.

Charlotte Werner’s appointment heralds a momentous new chapter for Giambattista Valli, symbolizing a fresh era of growth and innovation for the iconic fashion house.
