ChangeNOW 2022: LVMH Showcases Circular Economy Partner Projects

The annual green event, ChangeNOW, is set to return to Paris from May 19 to 21, 2022. This year, the luxury giant LVMH will be showcasing partner projects that support the circular economy under the theme “New Born Projects for Change”. With the goal of addressing environmental challenges and accelerating positive change globally, the three-day summit will bring together entrepreneurs and key change-makers.

LVMH, a long-standing partner of ChangeNOW, presented its vision and commitments to creative circularity at the event last year. Creative circularity is one of the four strategic pillars of LVMH’s environmental program, LIFE 360. This year, LVMH will have a dedicated space at the event where it will share various concrete solutions. One of these solutions is Nona Source, a platform for valorizing surplus textiles from LVMH’s houses. LVMH will also showcase student projects from its partnership with Central Saint Martins School, aiming to promote design as a catalyst for sustainable innovation. Additionally, the ChangeNOW x LVMH Circular Economy Prize will be awarded to a startup engaged in the subject.

Art will also play a significant role at ChangeNOW. Street artist Tim Zdey, supported by LVMH, will transform a blank canvas into a giant mural live over three days. This mural, titled “The Wall of Change”, will serve as a representation of art as a catalyst for engagement. Furthermore, a Circular Economy Gallery will be set up at the Grand Palais éphémère, displaying a selection of art and everyday objects. Among the exhibits will be the “LV Trainer Upcycling”, a pair of sneakers designed by Virgil Abloh and made from dormant stocks.

The event will also feature discussions on important environmental topics. Hélène Valade, Director of Environmental Development at LVMH, will participate in a debate alongside Marcial Vargas, Innovation & Partnerships Lead at Quantis. They will discuss the LIFE 360 program, biodiversity, and regenerative agriculture. These topics were previously advocated by Valade during her intervention at the Tribunal des Générations Futures on May 11th. Valade emphasized the importance of regenerative growth in living systems, a model in which companies commit to contribute to the preservation and regeneration of the environment while promoting human well-being.

Registrations for the 2022 edition of ChangeNOW are now open. This event provides a platform for collaboration and innovation in the pursuit of positive environmental change.
