Chanel to Honor Founder Gabrielle Chanel with Fragrance and Women’s Bag

Chanel is set to honor its founder, Gabrielle Chanel, in a big way this year. The renowned French fashion house has announced that it will be unveiling a fragrance and a women’s bag both named after Gabrielle.

To shed light on the inspiration behind these new designs, Chanel has released a video on their website, Inside Chanel. The video showcases the portrait of a determined woman, emphasizing the three verbs that defined Gabrielle Chanel: Choose, Want, Be. It reveals that she was a rebel at heart, fueled by the desire to find freedom through her work.

In addition to the video, Chanel plans to release four films on the Inside Chanel website. Each film will delve into one of Gabrielle Chanel’s core values: rebellion, freedom, passion, and style. These films offer a unique opportunity to delve deeper into the life and personality of the visionary behind the iconic fashion house.

One of the ways Chanel plans to pay tribute to Gabrielle is through the launch of a women’s bag, which will be designed by Karl Lagerfeld. This bag will be unveiled during the presentation of Chanel’s spring-summer 2017 collection.

In addition to the bag, Chanel will also be introducing a fragrance named “Gabrielle” in September 2017. This fragrance will hold a special place in the brand’s history, as it will be the first fragrance released by Chanel since Chance in 2003. While details about the scent remain under wraps, Christine Dagousset, President of Chanel Fragrances and Beauty, has stated that the bottle design has taken years of technical expertise. This statement has only further intrigued Chanel enthusiasts, who eagerly anticipate the release of these new creations.
