Chanel, the iconic fashion house, is showing its support for a new exhibition at the Cinémathèque de Paris that honors the legendary actress Romy Schneider. The exhibition aims to celebrate the close relationship between Schneider and Chanel by showcasing an outfit and photographs that testify to their enduring bond.
Romy Schneider, often referred to as the “eternal friend” of Chanel, once expressed her gratitude towards the fashion house by stating, “Chanel taught me everything without ever giving me advice.” The actress first collaborated with Chanel when she was dressed by Gabrielle Chanel herself for the short film “Il Lavoro” directed by Luchino Visconti in 1962.
