Chanel chooses Kristen Stewart for Métiers d’Art campaign

Chanel has once again chosen Kristen Stewart as the face of its Métiers d’Art campaign, titled Paris in Rome. The renowned American actress exudes sensuality in the campaign’s images, portraying a femme fatale.

Famed designer Karl Lagerfeld also took on the role of photographer for this campaign, resulting in an even more elegant portrayal of Stewart. The photographs capture her preparing for a romantic encounter in her Parisian apartment, showcasing a refined and sophisticated version of the actress.

Printed in black and white, the Chanel advertisements present Stewart in natural and alluring poses. Whether sitting on the edge of a bathtub or leaning on a side table, her lace stockings and dark lipstick enhance her sensual and romantic appearance. The campaign manages to embody the classic Chanel style while avoiding any hint of vulgarity.

In addition to the captivating photographs, the Paris in Rome campaign includes two black and white videos featuring Kristen Stewart. Shot at Teatro N°5 in Rome, Federico Fellini’s favored studio at Cinecittà, these short films showcase Stewart wearing a tweed jacket, statement jewelry, and an iconic Chanel bag. Her portrayal embodies the sensual image of Madame Chanel, against the backdrop of opulent Parisian apartments, with Gil Scott-Heron’s soulful track “I’ll Take Care of You” playing softly in the background.

This is not the first time Stewart has served as an ambassador for Chanel. She previously posed for the Métiers d’Art Paris-Dallas collection in 2014 and for Made in rue Cambon, Once and Forever in 2015.
