CEO of Berluti, Antoine Arnault, Stepping Down; Jean-Marc Mansvelt to Take Over

Antoine Arnault, the CEO of luxury brand Berluti, will be stepping down from his position, according to an announcement made by LVMH on Tuesday. The change in leadership will be effective from January 1, 2024. Jean-Marc Mansvelt, who has been the CEO of Chaumet since 2014, will be taking over as the new CEO of Berluti.

Antoine Arnault expressed his excitement and happiness in welcoming Jean-Marc as the new CEO of Berluti. He believes that Jean-Marc’s extensive experience will play a crucial role in the continued development of the brand, which is well-known for its elegance, audacity, and exceptional craftsmanship.

As part of this reshuffle, Charles Leung, the CEO of jewelry brand Fred, will be assuming the role of chief executive at Chaumet. The Paris-based parent company stated that they will be searching for a replacement for Leung internally.

Antoine Arnault, who is the eldest son of LVMH CEO Bernard Arnault, became the CEO of Berluti in 2011. His leadership saw the transformation of Berluti from a traditional cobbler, founded in 1895, into a renowned luxury brand with the release of its first ready-to-wear collection. Just recently, Berluti announced that they will be responsible for designing the opening ceremony uniforms for the French teams at the upcoming summer Olympics and Paralympics. Arnault played a crucial role in negotiating LVMH’s sponsorship deal worth 150 million euros for the Olympics, which was announced in July.

Despite stepping down as CEO, Antoine Arnault will continue to hold the position of chairman at Berluti. In addition, he has various other roles within LVMH, including being the president of luxury brand Loro Piana, CEO and vice-chairman of the board of directors at Christian Dior SE, and head of communication and image at LVMH.

Overall, this change in leadership at Berluti signifies a new chapter for the brand and brings forth new opportunities for growth and advancement. With the experienced team in place, the brand aims to continue its legacy of craftsmanship and luxury in the fashion industry.
