From 1999 to 2001, Hardy honed his skills at Callaghan in Italy. He then joined forces with Balenciaga, where he created and designed the menswear line for eight consecutive years. His association with Balenciaga also allowed him to collaborate closely with Nicolas Ghesquière, the current artistic director of Louis Vuitton’s womenswear line.
In addition to his work with established fashion houses, Hardy launched his first line of sweatshirts, Minets by Barnabé, in 2001.
