Canada Goose Appoints Larry Li as President of Operations in China

Canada Goose, the well-known luxury outerwear brand from North America, has announced the appointment of Larry Li as the president of its operations in China. In his new role, Li will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the business in the mainland China market, including commercial activities, marketing strategies, and financial operations. This appointment is part of Canada Goose’s efforts to expand its presence and drive growth in China.

With over 20 years of experience in the industry, Li brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his new position. Previously, he served as the Managing Director of Dunhill in China, a renowned British heritage brand under the Richemont group. Prior to that, Li held various senior management roles at distinguished brands such as Louis Vuitton, Givenchy, and Kenzo in Shanghai and Tokyo. His extensive experience in the luxury sector, coupled with his deep understanding of the Chinese market, makes him an ideal candidate for leading Canada Goose’s team in China.

Li expressed his enthusiasm about joining Canada Goose, stating that the brand’s functionality, purpose, and design in performance luxury have resonated deeply in China. He is eager to build on the foundation that the brand has established and bring its vision to life in the Chinese market. Li’s appointment comes at a pivotal time for Canada Goose as it continues to expand its presence in China. Since entering the market in 2018, mainland China has become home to the brand’s largest retail network, with 16 stores. The company has plans to open three more stores in Tianjin, Qingdao, and Chengdu this fall, further solidifying its position in the country.

Apart from retail expansion, Canada Goose is also focused on category expansion and collaboration with local design talent. The brand recently launched its footwear collection and has plans to explore new product categories in the future. Additionally, it will collaborate with renowned Chinese designers Feng Chen Wang and Xu Zhen for its Fall/Winter 2022 collection, showcasing its commitment to featuring local talent.

The appointment of Larry Li as the president of Canada Goose’s operations in China reflects the brand’s strategic approach to expanding in one of the world’s fastest-growing luxury markets.
