Canada Goose Announces Collaboration with KidSuper as NBA Partnership Continues

Canada Goose has announced its collaboration with Brooklyn-based fashion label KidSuper as part of its ongoing partnership with the NBA. This exciting collaboration coincides with the appointment of NBA All-Star Shai Gilgeous-Alexander as the newest Global Brand Ambassador for Canada Goose.

Gilgeous-Alexander, known for his exceptional on-court performance and influential fashion choices, has been recognized as GQ’s Most Stylish Man of the Year in 2022. He will now take center stage in the Canada Goose & NBA with KidSuper global campaign, representing the brand’s dedication to performance, style, and culture.

Dani Reiss, the Chairman and CEO of Canada Goose, expressed his enthusiasm for partnering with the NBA and its players, who have become influential tastemakers in the fashion world. Reiss highlighted the shared values of Gilgeous-Alexander and Canada Goose, both excelling in their respective fields and embodying a commitment to excellence.

The limited-edition Canada Goose & NBA Collection, designed in collaboration with KidSuper’s founder and designer Colm Dillane, will be released on February 8. The collection includes four high-performance pieces: a reversible fleece jacket, a reversible vest, a Crofton puffer, and a jacquard toque. Dillane, known for his maximalist creations, has infused his figurative paintings and drawings into the collection, adding a unique artistic touch.

The collection showcases two distinct works of art. One piece, titled ‘Purple Crowd,’ portrays an abstract group of enthusiastic fans within a stadium, capturing the essence of fan culture. The second piece, named ‘Landscape,’ depicts snowy mountain peaks with frozen waters below, evoking a sense of adventure and exploration.

Dillane expressed his excitement for the collaboration, stating that he draws inspiration from communities with rich cultural heritage, whether in fashion, art, sports, or music. The partnership with Canada Goose allowed him to push the boundaries of art and design, resulting in a collection that combines fun and functionality.

To introduce the collection, Canada Goose and the NBA have launched the ‘Play in the Open’ campaign, directed by Jamie Webster. The campaign features Dillane and a vibrant cast of KidSuper characters embarking on a mountain hike guided by Gilgeous-Alexander. The campaign emphasizes the intersection of adventure, sports, and community, highlighting the shared values between Canada Goose, the NBA, and KidSuper.
