Canada Goose Announces Changes in Executive Team and Board of Directors

Canada Goose, the high-end winter apparel brand, has recently undergone significant changes within its executive team and board of directors. The company has announced the appointment of Marjan Anwar Khan as their new chief technology officer (CTO), coinciding with the departure of the Asia-Pacific (APAC) president and chief product officer.

Former chief product officer, Woody Blackford, is no longer with Canada Goose, and the search for a new design lead is already underway. The company is seeking someone who will closely collaborate with the existing product leadership team. Additionally, Paul Cadman, the APAC president, has also left the company.

In response to these changes, Canada Goose has made two new additions to its board of directors. Gary Saage, who previously served as group chief financial officer at Richemont, and Jennifer Davis, a partner at Bain Capital private equity, have joined the board with immediate effect. Davis will replace Josh Bekenstein, who chose to resign. Saage will also become a member of the audit committee.

The Chairman and CEO of Canada Goose, Dani Reiss, expressed his excitement for these developments and the company’s new chapter of global growth. Reiss stated, “I couldn’t be more pleased to welcome Gary and Jennifer to the board and Marjan to the role of CTO.” He also expressed gratitude towards Bekenstein for his exceptional service and leadership since 2013, highlighting his valuable mentorship and friendship. Reiss believes that the new board members will contribute their extensive knowledge and expertise in finance, luxury brands, and retail to support the company’s strategic growth objectives. Meanwhile, Anwar Khan will lead the company’s technology transformation.

These changes in Canada Goose’s leadership team and board of directors demonstrate the brand’s dedication to growth and innovation. By bringing in fresh talent and expertise, the company is positioning itself for continued success in the global market. With a new CTO and an expanded board, Canada Goose is well-equipped to make significant advancements in their strategic growth pillars and technology.
