Calzedonia Group Rebrands as Oniverse

The Calzedonia group, now known as Oniverse, has recently undergone a rebranding to align with its expanding presence in various sectors. Under the leadership of president and majority shareholder Sandro Veronesi, the company has ventured into industries ranging from lingerie and hosiery to luxury yachts and wineries.

This transformation has been fueled by strategic acquisitions, leading to the establishment of multiple brands within the Oniverse group. Each brand maintains its own unique identity, reflecting the company’s diversification. Veronesi explained, “We have chosen a name that is different and independent from the brands that belong to the group.”

The new name, Oniverse, not only represents the company’s evolution but is also an anagram of Veronesi’s surname. Noteworthy brands that fall under the Oniverse umbrella include Intimissimi, Tezenis, Falconeri, Atelier Emé, and the Italian winery chain Signorvino. In recent times, Oniverse has further broadened its portfolio with the acquisitions of Italian label Antonio Marras and luxury yacht builder Cantiere del Pardo.

Originally founded as Calzedonia in Verona, Italy, in 1986, the company has experienced impressive growth throughout the years. Its wide range of products has yielded remarkable results, with Oniverse generating €3 billion in revenue in 2022. These products are sold through an extensive network of over 5,300 monobrand stores across 56 countries.

The success of Oniverse has not gone unnoticed, as it has garnered attention from notable sources. Consulting firm Pambianco, in its 2023 ranking, has listed Oniverse as the top Italian fashion group with the potential for a stock market listing. This exceptional recognition places Oniverse ahead of renowned fashion giants, including Armani and Golden Goose.

The rebranding of Calzedonia to Oniverse is a significant milestone for the group. It not only showcases its growth and diversification but also sets the stage for future endeavors. With an impressive portfolio of brands and a strong market presence, Oniverse is poised to continue its success in the fashion and luxury industries. As the company forges ahead, it will undoubtedly make a lasting impact on the global fashion landscape.
