This collaboration aims to showcase their shared appreciation for community and the outdoors, particularly drawing inspiration from the Japanese skateboarding scene. Skateboarding is limited during the daytime in Japan, but it flourishes in the darkness of night. Thus, the collection seeks to capture the spirit of freedom and movement that arises when exploring the city after sunset.
The collection presents the iconic Burberry Check in tones of grey, creating a blurred effect, while reflective elements add a striking touch in low light conditions. Departing from Burberry’s signature beige and birch brown colors, the collection incorporates shades of grey, black, and red, drawing inspiration from the nighttime cityscapes for a modern and urban vibe. The pieces in the collection are designed with relaxed proportions to ensure ultimate comfort and ease of movement.
The capsule collection encompasses a range of outerwear, including technical parkas, zipped jackets, and classic car coats. The reflective check pattern is featured either as an all-over design or panelled onto a nylon version of the coat.
