Burberry, the prestigious luxury brand, has made important additions to its leadership team by appointing Giorgio Belloli and Delphine Sonder to new roles within the company. Belloli will take on the position of chief digital, customer and innovation officer, while Sonder will become the chief merchandising officer. These appointments are effective immediately.
Belloli’s responsibilities will involve overseeing global e-commerce, digital product, and analytics teams, as well as leading a newly-formed innovation function. Sonder, on the other hand, will be in charge of merchandising and global planning for ready-to-wear and accessories, as well as developing product strategy. Giorgio Belloli brings with him an impressive nine-year tenure at Farfetch, where he held the position of chief commercial and sustainability officer. Prior to that, he held senior roles at renowned luxury brands such as Alexander McQueen, Hussein Chalayan, and Prada. Delphine Sonder joins Burberry after spending nearly five years at Saint Laurent as the general merchandising director. She also brings experience from senior roles at Louis Vuitton and Chloe.
