Brioni’s 75th Anniversary Celebration in Florence

Brioni recently marked a significant milestone by commemorating its 75th anniversary in the historical city of Florence with a grand baroque event that paid tribute to the iconic Dolce Vita era. The lavish event was not only a celebration of the brand’s rich history but also an opportunity to showcase their latest fall/winter 2020 collection in a unique and captivating manner.

The event featured an exquisite performance by Danish cellists, who flawlessly played classical music pieces that added an element of sophistication and elegance to the evening. Dressed in the latest Brioni collection, the musicians embodied the brand’s signature style and commitment to impeccable craftsmanship.

The opulent Palazzo Gerini, a 16th-century palace owned by the prestigious Gerini family, served as the backdrop for the event. Guests were treated to a visual spectacle as they meandered through the palace’s rooms adorned with stunning Renaissance frescos. The ambiance was further enhanced by a wind quartet playing enchanting compositions by Lorenzo de Firenze, which set the perfect tone for the glamorous affair.

Renowned Greek pianist Alexandros Kapelis mesmerized attendees with his enchanting performance of Debussy compositions on a magnificent Steinway piano. Dressed in a classic white tie and tails, Kapelis epitomized the elegance and sophistication synonymous with Brioni.

A standout moment of the evening was the captivating string trio of violinists, elegantly dressed in sharp peak lapel jackets crafted from luxurious silk. Their attire paid homage to Brioni’s enduring tradition of using exquisite fabrics in their collections. The baroque ensemble in the Sala Bianca exuded an air of refinement, reminiscent of the golden age of Italian fashion shows.

To culminate the evening on a high note, guests were treated to a sumptuous dinner prepared by world-renowned Italian chef Enrico Bartolini, which further elevated the exclusive atmosphere of the event. Despite facing challenges with multiple changes in creative leadership, Brioni appears to be embarking on a promising new chapter under the guidance of CEO Mehdi Benabadji and designer Norbert Stumpfl. The anniversary celebration symbolized a fresh beginning for the iconic brand, signaling a bright and successful future ahead.
