Brave Kid Expands Licensed Label Lineup with MM6 Maison Margiela

Brave Kid, the kids’ clothing division of OTB Group, is making strides in its licensed label lineup by adding MM6 Maison Margiela. This collaboration marks MM6 Maison Margiela’s first venture into the childrenswear category, as the brand is owned by OTB Group. The debut collection for MM6 Maison Margiela’s kids’ line will be available for Spring/Summer 2022, following a smaller capsule collection for Autumn/Winter 2021. The collection will cater to both boys and girls aged four to 14 and will feature the brand’s distinct and whimsical style.

This expansion of Brave Kid’s licensed label portfolio stems from its overall growth strategy. The company already oversees childrenswear for renowned brands like Diesel, Dsquared2, Marni, and N° 21 under license and aims to establish itself as a key player in the childrenswear market. Despite the challenges faced by the business and retail industry as a whole during the pandemic, Brave Kid has continued to expand.

Alongside the MM6 Maison Margiela partnership, Brave Kid is making further strides by entering the direct-to-consumer retail arena with its new multi-brand webstore, bravekid.com. While initially serving Europe, Russia, and Japan, the webstore has plans for expansion into Asia and the US. Brave Kid sees enormous potential in both the MM6 kidswear brand and the specialized category webstore, with intentions to offer exclusive products on the site. By launching its own website, the company aims to leverage its in-house digital expertise and showcase its entire product range, which may not always be possible through wholesale partners.

Brave Kid’s CEO, Germano Ferraro, exudes confidence in the company’s future growth, expecting a 15% increase in sales for 2021. The company predicts strong performances in Europe, the UK, Japan, Russia, the Middle East, and further expansion into the Asian market. In addition to its own growth, Brave Kid strives to serve as a marketplace for selected childrenswear brands, cementing its position as a prominent industry player.

Overall, Brave Kid’s expansion into the MM6 Maison Margiela partnership and the launch of its D2C multibrand webstore showcase the company’s dedication to growth and innovation in the childrenswear market.
