Bottega Veneta Launches ‘People’ Page to Highlight and Celebrate Employees

Italian luxury brand Bottega Veneta has launched a dedicated page on its website called “People,” which aims to highlight and celebrate the brand’s employees. This move comes at a time when the luxury sector is focusing on strengthening its recruitment efforts.

The “People” page, located within the Inside Bottega section of the website, showcases the latest campaigns and special projects of the brand, while also emphasizing the importance of its teams and the brand’s founding values of “Labor” and “Ingenium.” The page aims to create a sense of community and belonging among Bottega Veneta employees, who currently number around 4,000 across thirty countries.

CEO Bartolomeo Rongone describes it as a community, while designer Matthieu Blazy refers to it as a collective. This language of belonging is coupled with a celebration of individuality and diversity within the brand.

Bottega Veneta’s focus on its employees through the “People” page is part of the brand’s broader content strategy to strengthen its human resources efforts. With a strong turnover of €833 million in the first half of fiscal year 2023, the brand is currently recruiting over 300 individuals to support its growth. Interested candidates can access these job opportunities directly through the newly launched “People” page.

Earlier this year, Bottega Veneta made waves by adopting a quiet luxury approach to its communication strategy, gradually withdrawing from most social media platforms. Instead, the brand has opted to rely on ambassadors and fans to provide the content they need. However, in the face of recruitment challenges in certain strategic positions, such as craftsmanship and sales, the brand may be breaking its silence by utilizing its own platforms, including its website and digital journal, as well as the professional networking site LinkedIn.

This decision to utilize LinkedIn is significant due to its business-oriented nature and its potential for employee advocacy. By leveraging these platforms, Bottega Veneta aims to overcome the recruitment challenges faced by the luxury sector and continue its growth trajectory.
