Bottega Veneta Introduces ‘Certificate of Craft’ to Strengthen It-Bag Collection and Commitment to Sustainability

Bottega Veneta, the famous Italian luxury brand, is making strides to strengthen its it-bag collection while also showcasing its dedication to sustainability through the concept of repair rather than disposal. As one of the major players in the luxury industry, Bottega Veneta recognizes the ever-increasing demand for leather goods and is constantly innovating to meet consumer needs.

The popularity of it-bags is undeniable, with brands like Burberry and Fendi capitalizing on their iconic designs and celebrating them in unique ways. Not only are these bags driving segment-specific financial results for the brands, but they also hold great value in the resale market, often fetching higher prices than brand-new ones.

Bottega Veneta has a deep understanding of this consumer trend. After launching a platform dedicated to the sale of its archival pieces, the brand is now introducing the “Certificate of Craft” to further enhance its after-sales service. Starting in November, customers will be able to access this lifetime warranty program, which allows them to have their bags repaired or refreshed. This service will be available for popular bag lines such as Jodie, Cassette, and Pouch. The “Certificate of Craft” will be represented by a physical card associated with the item’s serial number.

By introducing this certificate, Bottega Veneta is not only adding value to the purchase but also highlighting its commitment to eco-friendly practices and heritage. Customers who appreciate timeless and durable pieces are particularly drawn to such values. “We focus on responsible growth. Our intention is to keep the pieces in use for longer, reducing the need for replacement. We count the days, not the hours, to make our products. They are designed to last forever,” says Leo Rongone, CEO of Bottega Veneta.

This initiative is expected to further propel the brand’s success, as it recently climbed to the 11th position in Lyst’s ranking of the most sought-after brands on its platform. Bottega Veneta, under the management of the Kering Group, recorded a remarkable revenue of 437 million euros from July to September, marking a growth of 20%.

Through the introduction of the “Certificate of Craft,” Bottega Veneta not only solidifies its position as a leader in the luxury industry but also showcases its commitment to sustainability and customer satisfaction. By promoting repairs and extending the lifespan of its bags, the brand is setting a new standard for craftsmanship and responsible consumption.
