Bicester Village Collaborates with The Maiyet Collective for Sustainable Luxury Pop-Up

Bicester Village has been at the forefront of the retail industry, constantly evolving with innovative pop-up shops. The latest addition to their lineup is a collaboration with the Maiyet Collective, focusing on eco-friendly and sustainable luxury brands. Just in time for the festive season, this pop-up showcases a diverse range of products including clothing, accessories, beauty items, lifestyle products, and fine jewelry. Operating from Saturday until December 23, shoppers can explore and support 40 conscious designers who are dedicated to making a positive impact on the fashion world.

What makes this pop-up stand out is its unique position as the first full-price store within the outlet village. This move signifies Bicester Village’s recognition of the increasing importance of eco-conscious products and their confidence in the growing appeal of sustainable brands. Among the notable labels featured are Sandy Leong, Flora Bhattachary, La Pochette, Edward Mongzar, Saya Designs, Malako, and PurEarth, all renowned for their commitment to sustainability and ethical practices.

The brainchild behind the Maiyet Collective, Paul Van Zyl, is a well-known human rights advocate and the mastermind behind London’s sustainable members club, The Conduit. Van Zyl’s aim with Maiyet is to redefine fashion’s value system and champion ethical practices in the industry. He believes that fashion’s future lies in the perfect balance of ethics, design, sustainability, and desirability. This collaboration between The Maiyet Collective and Bicester Village offers customers a chance to support ethical brands while staying stylish.

In addition to the pop-up, Bicester Village is further immersing itself in the world of sustainability by hosting a series of public talks at The Apartment, the Village’s VIP Lounge. These discussions will touch on various topics such as ethical jewelry making, building a sustainable wardrobe, and creating a toxin-free home. The Maiyet activation at Bicester Village marks the beginning of a long-term partnership between the two entities, with plans for future collaborations at other Bicester Village Shopping Collection locations in Ireland, Spain, and China. This expansion showcases a joint dedication to advancing ethical and sustainable practices within the global fashion industry.
