Bentley Expands ‘Extraordinary Women’ Mentoring Program

In celebration of International Women’s Day, Bentley Automotive has announced the expansion of its mentoring program, “Extraordinary Women,” in the United Kingdom. The program was initially launched in the United Arab Emirates and has now been extended to focus on female students in technology, engineering, design, and business sectors.

Bentley’s “Extraordinary Women” program aligns with the company’s corporate strategy, Beyond100, which aims to achieve 30% diversified leadership within the organization by 2025. Through this initiative, Bentley aims to highlight female talent and provide them with opportunities to integrate into the automotive industry. The program will specifically target a select group of students from four partner universities in the UK.

Participants in the mentoring program will benefit from tailored mentoring solutions and will have the chance to engage in various experiences offered by Bentley. This includes a visit to the brand’s Crewe production factory, where they will get an inside look at the manufacturing process. The program also features roundtable discussions on career opportunities in the automotive industry, allowing students to gain insights from industry specialists.

Bentley’s dedication to promoting the automotive industry among young individuals is not new. Last year, the brand collaborated with Speakers for Schools to introduce over 500 young British individuals to the sector. By expanding its “Extraordinary Women” program, Bentley reaffirms its commitment to empowering and supporting women in traditionally male-dominated industries.

As Bentley continues to progress with its Beyond100 strategy, achieving greater gender balance and diversity within its leadership positions will be crucial. The company recognizes that diverse perspectives and experiences contribute to its overall success. By providing mentoring and valuable experiences, Bentley aims to pave the way for more women to excel in the automotive sector.
