Belgian singer Angèle becomes the face of Chanel’s latest eyewear campaign

Belgian singer Angèle has recently made a memorable appearance in the latest campaign for the prestigious fashion brand Maison de la rue Cambon. After being seen in the front row of the fashion house’s recent shows, the 24-year-old artist has now officially become a part of the Chanel family. Angèle has been chosen as the face of their latest promotional campaign, showcasing the new Chanel Eyewear collection. In the campaign, she can be seen wearing a statement pearl necklace and a timeless tweed jacket, both iconic pieces from the fashion house.

The campaign, shot by renowned photographer Karim Sadli, features a star-studded lineup of musicians and actresses. Alongside Angèle, musicians Pharrell Williams and Sébastien Tellier have also been included, as they have become known for making a unique fashion statement with their sunglasses. Actresses Margaret Qualley and Isabelle Adjani complete the influential cast.

The decision to choose Angèle, whose real name is Angèle Van Laeken, as the face of the campaign is no coincidence. With a strong presence on social media, boasting over 2.6 million followers on Instagram, and a relatively young audience, the singer aligns well with Chanel’s desire to appeal to the new luxury consumers, especially from Gen Z. Known for her socially conscious lyrics, Angèle embodies values of inclusivity and feminism, which resonate with the younger generation.

Chanel’s new eyewear collection, currently exploring an augmented retail solution in partnership with Farfetch, will be available for purchase from March onwards.
