Battersea Power Station Celebrates 5 Million Visitors

Battersea Power Station, the iconic London landmark that recently underwent a multi-billion dollar transformation, has reached a major milestone by surpassing five million visitors. Despite a lack of recent news about the development, the mall owner has confirmed that new brands are still signing up for retail spaces that are currently under development. These new additions will be joining the historic landmark and Electric Boulevard, a newly pedestrianized high street, in the coming months.

Some of the popular names that will be opening stores in Battersea Power Station include Lego, Malin+Goetz, Bloobloom, APC, Office Shoes, and various dining options. Since its opening, the mall has already welcomed over 20 new stores, including Jigsaw, Under Armour, Kiehl’s, and more.

Before its opening, the development company behind Battersea Power Station successfully attracted sought-after brands such as Reiss, Mulberry, Adidas, Mango, Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein, and more. These well-known labels, along with the company’s efforts to organize events and draw in visitors, have contributed to the impressive footfall. Events like the ‘Festival of Power’, which celebrated the Power Station’s opening and attracted over a quarter of a million visitors, have generated interest and excitement.

The current Spring Festival, running until April 16th, is another initiative aimed at attracting visitors to the area. CEO Simon Murphy expressed his delight at the number of people who have visited the new riverside neighborhood since its opening. Head of Asset Management, Sam Cotton, highlighted that the addition of new brands, despite the challenging retail market, is proof of the development’s appeal.

The success of Battersea Power Station as a retail destination showcases the transformation of the historic landmark and its ability to attract well-known brands and curious visitors. With more brand openings and developments planned for the future, it is clear that this iconic location will continue to thrive as a vibrant shopping and leisure destination.
