Barbour’s Christmas Campaign with Paddington

Barbour, the renowned heritage and lifestyle brand, has recently launched its Christmas campaign in partnership with the beloved children’s character, Paddington. The campaign revolves around a heartwarming tale that not only promotes sustainability, but also encourages thoughtfulness. With the exclusive animation of the original Peggy Fortnum illustration style, Barbour’s seasonal film brings the story to life.

The narrative follows Paddington as he embarks on an adventure to find a meaningful gift for his occasionally grumpy neighbor, Mr. Curry. By emphasizing Paddington’s kindness and good intentions, the campaign celebrates the joy of giving a special present that holds significant meaning.

One of the primary focuses of the campaign is Barbour’s Re-Loved initiative, which emphasizes circularity and sustainability. Through this program, customers who no longer find a need for their Barbour wax jacket can return it in exchange for a voucher. Barbour then cleans, re-waxes, and repairs the jacket, preparing it to be re-loved in a new home. Each re-loved jacket is unique, contributing to the brand’s commitment to waste reduction and product longevity.

The campaign’s hand-painted 2D animation was skillfully crafted by a team of directors at Againstallodds and produced by Passion Pictures, a prestigious production company that has won multiple Academy Awards. This animated film expands the world of Paddington, introducing new characters and taking him on thrilling adventures beyond his familiar surroundings, while still capturing the essence of the original Paddington style.

To further support the campaign, Barbour will be launching a limited-edition Barbour x Paddington Re-Loved jacket. These special jackets will feature a one-of-a-kind lining taken from an image in this year’s Christmas film. In addition, the classic men’s and women’s wax jackets, the Bedale and Beadnell, will also be available with a unique Paddington lining. These exclusive products will be available for purchase starting from December 1.

Barbour’s Christmas campaign with Paddington is an endearing and considerate celebration of sustainability and giving. By intertwining the spirit of the iconic children’s character with the brand’s dedication to circularity, Barbour aims to spread joy and inspire conscious consumption during the holiday season.
