Balmain Fashion Show Homage to Michael Jackson

The fashion show held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Paris was a homage to the legendary style of Michael Jackson. Designer Olivier Rousteing, the artistic director of Balmain, showcased iconic pieces from the King of Pop’s wardrobe. The runway was filled with sequin jackets, cricket blazers, red leather biker jackets, zippers, white socks, black leather loafers, and of course, the iconic silver glove.

Rousteing’s collection paid tribute to Jackson’s unique style, with some pieces featuring the inscription “Balmain On Tour” and others replacing the famous “Bad” inscription with the word “Balmain”. The military and navy influences were also evident, as officer jackets and naval cadet uniforms were included, reflecting Jackson’s fondness for these dress codes.

One of the standout features of the fashion show was the music. The entire soundtrack was carefully curated with new versions and reinterpretations of Michael Jackson’s biggest hits. Songs like “They Don’t Really Care About Us,” “Scream,” and “Bad,” along with a remix of the iconic song “Jam,” filled the venue and added to the atmosphere of the show.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs served as an elegant and fitting backdrop for the unveiling of Rousteing’s new collection. The space exuded a sense of grandeur, perfectly complementing the timeless style of the King of Pop.

Overall, the Balmain fashion show was a stunning tribute to the iconic style of Michael Jackson, with Olivier Rousteing successfully capturing the essence of the legendary singer in his designs.
